Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Estate Manager to oversee the operations of our Principle's homes within the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the property, including maintenance, security, housekeeping, project management, and light Personal Assistant duties. The Estate Manager will be the main point of contact for staff, contractors, and vendors, and will be expected to manage budgets and ensure that all activities are carried out in a professional and efficient manner. This role would directly report to the Sr. Estate Manager.

Responsibilities

Estate Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the main home in Beverly Hills.
  • Act as a liaison between the family and vendors, contractors, guests, and household staff.
  • Ensure proactive maintenance of property features, including gym equipment, pools, gardens, plumbing, and technology.
  • Manage renovations and repairs, collaborating with the contractor to gain a full understanding of the home’s needs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive house manual for operational consistency.

Vendor and Staff Management

  • Supervise a steady stream of vendors and contractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with the family on financial decisions, emphasizing collaboration and cost-effective solutions.

Proactive Maintenance and Problem-Solving

  • Anticipate potential issues and address them before they escalate.
  • Handle minor tasks independently, such as setting up printers or troubleshooting basic issues, without relying on external service providers.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparations for leasing an additional property, including coordinating photoshoots, staging, and working with leasing agents.
  • Oversight of 2 satellite properties within the Los Angeles area.
  • Oversee pet care for 2 large dogs: feeding schedules, veterinary visits, training and pet sitting schedules.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
  • Provide occasional support for personal errands or personal assistant tasks, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing large estates for high-net-worth individuals, including hands-on involvement and managerial oversight.
  • Proven experience in a Junior Estate Manager, Assistant Estate Manager, or Estate Manager role. 3-5 years preferred
  • Expertise in household systems, renovations, and vendor management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of managing household staff effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and highly proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
  • Proven experience in managing projects varying from large remodels to utility service upgrades and everything in between.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable being the “wall” between the principals and the household.
  • Experience in creating a house manual.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive manuals and procedures.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost management.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach to supporting the family’s needs.
  • Ability to address any after-hours emergencies or situations.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Additional Details

  • The family values someone who is both managerial and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership over their role.
  • Candidate must align with the family’s preference for self-sufficiency and resourcefulness (e.g., handle simple tasks without outsourcing unnecessarily).
  • The role includes a mix of routine estate management and special projects
  • Current scheduling needs are Monday-Friday, with scheduling flexibility.
  • This is an onsite role in the Beverly Hills area

Benefits

  • Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • PTO/Vacation
  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
