Tuned mass damper
Tuned mass damper
Vibrations in pipe systems and buildings represent a serious threat to both the functioning and profitability of businesses. These systems have high resonance frequencies and a high dynamic amplification factor because of the poor mechanical damping that is inherent to them in the first place. In the presence of external forces such as flow turbulence, pressure pulsation, or mechanical equipment, these systems can respond with significant amplitude vibrations to the forces applied. Compared to other vibration control methods, tuned mass dampers (TMD) effectively reduce resonant vibration. You will design and analysis the TMD system in this project. The ideas can be used in an industrial setting to reduce structural vibration. You will also have a thorough understanding of model analysis and harmonic analysis
