Home Security System using PIR motion sensor
Home Security System using PIR motion sensor
The goal of this project is to develop a home security system that can detect humans. Closed circuit television (CCTV) is a traditional home security system that can only capture and record video without being able to provide warning feedback if there is a suspicious object. As a result, if there is an intruder, an additional item detection and warning technique is necessary. The proposed design is made with an ARM Microcontroller and a 12V adaptor. The PIR sensor on the Microcontroller detects human activity near it. If a suspicious object is identified, an alarm is triggered, alerting the home owner to the presence of an intruder. The evaluation findings suggest that the proposed system takes an average of 2 seconds to detect an intruder. It also indicates that with proper sensor location, the system can successfully detect the intruder with an accuracy of 89 percent.
