Smart Irrigation system based on ARM Microcontroller
Agriculture consumes 85 percent of available freshwater, and this need is expected to rise in the future. As a result, a system is required to efficiently utilise water in agriculture. When compared to previous irrigation methods, the modern drip irrigation system saves a large quantity of water. And some crops require varying quantities of water as they mature. This project presents drip irrigation automation in which the sensor catches the soil water content level, calculates its wetness level, and regularly transmits the data to the microcontroller through IOT. The irrigation is controlled by the microcontroller, which also broadcasts the field's status to the farmer's phone. When compared to traditional flood and drip irrigation methods, it saves roughly 41.5 percent and 13% of water, respectively, according to the experimental setting.
