Communication is a way of expressing one's thoughts, ideas, and messages that goes beyond spoken language. Communication has become a major challenge for them, particularly when it comes to interacting with regular people in their daily lives. Hand sign language was used by hearing/speech impaired people as a means of communication; however, it was only effective if the person with whom they were interacting knew the hand sign language. This research resulted in the creation of an assistive device for those who are deaf or blind. The technology was created to translate their gestures or signals into a message that was preloaded in the device. Through the device, a voice-based message is generated.
