The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations supervises a team of Associates and ensures that pick, pack, and ship operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality. With responsibility for a day or night shift, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health’s customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the Warehouse Operations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence. Responsibilities include managing, motivating, and supervising warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of product and ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are met; monitoring productivity, adhering to budgetary guidelines, and working to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality; daily scheduling of the workforce to ensure proper staffing; coordinating with freight forwarders and overseeing private fleet routing and delivery compliance; ensuring high-quality customer service and addressing customer correspondence, complaints, and inquiries; developing and implementing service improvements; holding employees accountable for safe work practices; supporting continuous improvement culture; coordinating maintenance of equipment; recommending and implementing programs to increase production and efficient space utilization; managing disciplinary processes; identifying efficiency improvements; maintaining accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling; ensuring compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, State, and local regulations; and serving as primary facility contact for QRA compliance and initiatives. The role requires 3-5 years supervisor/management experience preferred, a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred, strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferably SAP, Kronos, and other enterprise software, and availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
