Job Description

Job Summary

The Benefits Coordinator/Account Manager supports the daily administration of the organization’s employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. This role ensures employees receive accurate and timely information, assists with benefits enrollment and changes, and serves as a point of contact for employee questions and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, status changes, and general inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records in the HRIS system
  • Support the annual open enrollment process, including communications, meetings, and system updates
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve benefits issues
  • Prepare and distribute benefits-related communications and materials
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ACA)
  • Assist with benefits reporting and audits as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, or as an employee benefits account manager.
  • Working knowledge of benefits plans and related laws/regulations
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration platforms
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
