Cobblestone Fruit seeks to hire a director of human resources as a member of the human resources team. This position will fill a key role in the administration function of the Company and its related entities. The position is responsible for managing employee relations, talent acquisition and development, developing and implementing human resources policies, compliance with labor laws and company policies, and collaborating with senior management.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Collaborates and consults with the executive leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources needs
· Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with overall business strategy
· Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
· Oversee the daily workflow and compliance of HR department
· Oversee practices as it relates to hiring, talent development, performance management, and employee relations
· Oversee the design and administration of benefits and retirement offerings that attract and support talent
· Maintain employee records and process payroll for confidential employees
· Knowledgeable in safety compliance
· Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
· Alignment with the company’s mission and core values
· Bilingual in English and Spanish required (read and write)
· Extensive experience in HR management, with an in-depth knowledge of HR principles and best practices
· Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and legal teams on complex issues
· Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
· Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Ability to lead and motivate team members
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Flexibility in duties and assignments
· Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
· Minimum of five years of human resources management experience preferred
Physical Demands & Abilities
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time, working from a computer
· Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
· Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
· Ability to perform duties on-site
Compensation & Benefits
· Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, estimated between $140,000/year - $160,000/year
