Position Summary
We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team and help protect critical systems and data across the organization. This is a fully on-site role supporting day-to-day security operations and contributing to long-term risk management strategies. You'll be part of a growing team under new leadership, offering the opportunity to help shape security practices from the ground up.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities across networks and systems.
• Perform risk assessments and support compliance with internal and external security standards.
• Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls, endpoint security, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support encryption and data protection efforts, including access control and secure file transfer protocols.
• Help enforce policies and controls related to information security and acceptable use.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and help remediate risks in coordination with IT staff.
• Assist in internal audits and preparation for third-party security assessments.
• Document processes, procedures, and security incidents accurately and thoroughly.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field with a focus or minor in cybersecurity
  — OR at least 2 years of full-time experience in cybersecurity roles
  — OR current certifications such as CompTIA Security+ , CISSP , or equivalent
• Internship or professional experience in IT or security, with demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Understanding of core security concepts: risk management, vulnerability management, compliance, encryption, firewall configuration, and secure systems administration
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to dig into security issues, not just general IT tasks

• Familiarity with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Exposure to SIEM tools, endpoint protection, or incident response
• Knowledge of common threat vectors and attack types
